The Old Kingdom Trilogy: Sabriel, Lirael, & Abhorsen

Over the past few years I've had the pleasure of providing special-edition covers for the Old Kingdom trilogy, by Garth Nix. These paintings were commissioned by Daphne Press as textless wrap-around covers, which meant I didn't have to worry about type and could just play.

Lirael (Book 2 in the series) was accepted into the Society of Illustrators exhibition/annual the year it was painted, which was really cool. The next year I forgot to submit - !
