Not All Heroes

Covers for the first two books in J.D. Rhodes' "Not All Heroes" trilogy. I really like these books and have been spending a lot more time than usual designing the characters before illustrating them. Concepting them first gives me a much more satisfied feeling at the end. Basically at this point if I don't like how something in an illustration is designed, it's hard to like the illustration itself (for my own work, that is).
